The dosage of Bontril® (phendimetrazine tartrate) as prescribed by your doctor could vary and it depends on numerous factors, such as:

Bontril PDM’s maximum dose is 70 mg, to be taken three times a day.

Moreover, the medication is likely to be abused and is another factor why its use should be only for a few weeks.

* Bontril must be taken in combination with a proper diet. Also, it is not intended to be had without dieting.
* You can split Bontril PDM tablets in half for convenience, but Bontril SR capsules is not supposed to be opened, crushed or chewed.
* You should not take Bontril in higher doses or more frequently than recommended as it could result in dependence or addiction.
